Polka Dot Tablecloth
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I'm throwing a baby shower this week. On Friday.
And of course, I'm so not ready.
I've spent some time gathering supplies and now it is time to start the projects.
First on the list, making a polka dot tablecloth.
I got the idea from Oh Happy Day.
I bought a white twin sheet at the thrift store for $1.89. Score.
I had paint already. And potatoes.
You can follow the tutorial on Oh Happy Day. But I made a few changes.
I started by painting with the potato, but it was more of an oval shape. After stamping a few, I decided that I really wanted a more of a circle shape, so I switched to painting by hand with a brush.
I really liked the way the circles had a dry brush look around the edges.
I also decided to go with more white space and fewer circles than the one on Oh Happy Day.
Doesn't the sparkly gold paint make you happy?
Now only 1400 things left on my to-do-list. I'd better get busy!
