It's the end of another week.
Time to reflect on the moments and share a few photos from the cell phone.

Proud
My 11 year old had to share this pic with me last night.
It was her favorite from her Instagram feed for the day.
And that made me happy. And proud.

One Good Thing
So
Not.
1. I started with a double root canal. 3 hours in the chair. With my mouth open. And a dental dam.
It goes on my list of 5 Worst Things I've Lived Through.
I know. I'm a bit of a whiner.
3. Then I came home to an 85 degree home that should have been 78. Uh oh. Broken AC. And the temp just kept climbing and climbing until it maxed out at 89. At 10 pm. And it doesn't appear to be cooling down as the night goes on.
We had a repairman come check out the problem. He decided it's broke. Gee, really?
Needs a new compressor. Good news is we rent. Bad news is we're not sure how many days until it gets fixed. If it's not fixed tomorrow, I will probably break down and head to a hotel.
3. Hubby called to say he needs a ride home from work. Because the check engine light came on in the car we just replaced the engine in. And got back a week ago.
Seriously? Is this for real?
4. This one is the one good thing. I found a beach house to rent for Fall Break. It turns out if you spend more than 5 hours on a simple task, you will be rewarded. La Jolla, here we come!
I will be smiling tonight as I sleep, with beads of sweat on my upper lip. But no tooth pain, thanks to that prescription I had filled........

It's been a crazy, fun-filled, week around here. Balanced out with boring responsibilities. And one really, really crappy day. But that's how you recognize the awesome moments! And there really are so many awesome moments if you just know to look for them!
Have a happy weekend!

Project Life
Remember that post where I mentioned I wanted to start working on Project Life? Well, it happened.
Here is Week 31:
And here is Week 32:
Ok. I'm kinda loving this. It just feels good to print some photos and add pretty pieces of paper and write something. After all, I'm a scrapbooker at heart.
I started with the past 2 weeks. The plan is to go back 1 more week, to Week 30. Then just move forward after that.
I definitely like week 32 better. It feels cleaner, not so cluttered.
Are you working on Project Life? Do you like clean and simple or stuffed full of goodness layouts?

Water Lilies
The other day we discovered a new park about a mile from our house. We took our bikes and rode around exploring.
And we found water lilies. Seriously. In. The. Desert.
Who knew they could survive here? I was amazed!
Oh, yeah. There were ducks at the park too.
Have you went off on an adventure lately? Found anything amazing?

Friday Wrap
It's the end of another week.
Time to reflect on the moments and share a few photos from the cell phone.

It's been a quiet week around here for phone photos. I didn't realize just how quiet until it was time to write this post.

1. Went out on date night. And this is what I get when I ask the hubs to pose for me. Shoulda known better than to ask that! Went to a double feature: The Heat and Elysium. Dinner at Outback. Coffee and desert and reading at Barnes and Noble. Nothing earth shattering, but nice to have time alone together!
2. That moment right before Tater breaks out in a huge smile. I can get her to smile, but it takes work. The hubs just has to look at her. Seriously. And she gives him that huge, wide open mouth smile. Yes, I'm a bit jealous....
3. A can of metallic gold spray paint got lots of love around my house, including the grass where I spray painted my desk legs. The goodness only lasted for a day though. Next day the lawnmower made all the gold disappear. I posted more gold ideas here.
That's it for me this week. Will have to remember to pull out that phone a bit more next week.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Blog Changes
Photo from the Desert Botanical Garden. March 2013. Taken by me.
Hi readers,
I don't want to upset anyone, but I think I may cut back to 5 posts a week, rather than 7.
I'm just thinking that I've been neglecting my Etsy shop, and maybe need to give it a bit more love and attention and time.
As much as I love to blog, I'm thinking a change to M-F would be the way to go.
I don't want to upset the few of you that show up here on a regular basis. Because I appreciate you so, so much.
And I really love sharing photos and crafts and shopping ideas and quotes and anything and everything else.
We'll give it a try for the next few weeks, and see how it goes.
See if you wake up this Saturday morning in a cold sweat .........

Make Something (Metallic Gold)
Have you noticed the gold trend happening right now?
I certainly have. I bought a can of metallic gold spray paint and went to town. Crazy town.
Today I'm sharing a simple way to add some gold to your life without spending the big bucks.
1. Steal a bowl out of your kitchen and add random dot stickers, making sure to wrap a few around the top lip of the bowl.
2. Spray 2 light coats of paint, letting the paint dry in between.
3. Pull off the dot stickers.
That's it. But I must warn you that you may want to grab more objects to spray gold. Like an empty glass jar. Or 3.
Just saying.
I couldn't bring myself to throw away the gold dots, so I added them to the back of my office chair. Which matches the desk legs that I painted gold. Which matches the letter "B" that I painted gold.
One can of spray paint has made me a very, very happy girl!
Now go make something!
