New Beginnings
A new school year.
Can you smell the freshly opened pack of paper and sharpened pencils ?
It is just full of possibilities and new experiences.
One is starting middle school and one is finishing middle school and one (not pictured) is finishing high school.
Guess which one laminated her schedule and school map (with scotch tape) and circled all her classrooms and memorized her schedule and color coordinated her notebooks and folders with each subject and had to have every single supply bought before the first day of school?
Guess which one didn't even want to meet her teachers until the first day of school and tried to leave on the first day without a backpack or any supplies at all and is all "chill" about the first day and looked like she could use a cup of coffee when I woke her up?
It's funny how you have children from the same parents that share the same genes and are so very different and wonderful in their own way.
That other one, the one not pictured, starts school way too early for a momma that had to work the night before. So will have to add a picture later. But he's pretty excited to be a senior and have super easy classes (lots of electives) and no homework all year long (we'll see if that is just wishful thinking).
As for me, I'm sitting outside listening to the rain hit the patio roof. A very rare occurrence. It's 75 outside. 75!!!!!
Thinking I need a trip through the Starbucks drive thru on my way to Hobby Lobby and Lowe's and then come home and get working on a few projects.
And maybe that pile of laundry that has spread from the hamper to the floor....
Today is gonna be a great day.
Hope your day is great too!
