I Spy...Quiet Moments

Tater went and turned one a couple of weeks ago.  There was a huge birthday party but I wasn't able to get any traditional photos, because the paparazzi were blocking my view. Let's just say there were a few people with cameras and camcorders to document the moment. Rather than getting too frustrated, I put the camera down and just focused on enjoying what was going on around me, knowing that there will always be other moments to document.

And there was later that day when all the family and friends left. It was just us. The 8 of us. And I'm finding that those quiet moments are the best. So the brave ones went swimming in the chilly water as the sun went down. The rest of us hung out and relaxed and shot a photo or two.....

I Spy....Downtown Ventura

On my last morning in Ventura, I woke up early and ran downtown with my camera. No one was moving around yet on a Sunday morning. The businesses were closed. And I just walked around, taking photos.

This is something I started doing in the last year or so. Just walking and taking photos. Sometimes when I travel, and sometimes closer to home.

Hope you enjoy.

Business Cards v. 2014

Hours before I left for Craftcation I decided to make some new business cards.

Yes, I said hours.

And I kinda love them.

I'll even share with you how I made them.

I picked out 9 photos from the past year and loaded them on to PicMonkey.

Next, I created a collage with 1 giant photo and 1 small photo, but then left the bottom photo blank.

After the collage was good to go, I moved on to editing the photo and adding text (blog address, my name, and my e-mail).

I then printed them at home. I chose the wallet size and printed on a piece of 8.5 x 11 inch photo paper.

Now it was time to break out the scissors to cut each one out and then I used a corner rounder punch to finish off the edges.

That's it. Done. Bam.

And I bet you can guess which one is my favorite....
