I Spy....Downtown Ventura
On my last morning in Ventura, I woke up early and ran downtown with my camera. No one was moving around yet on a Sunday morning. The businesses were closed. And I just walked around, taking photos.
This is something I started doing in the last year or so. Just walking and taking photos. Sometimes when I travel, and sometimes closer to home.
Hope you enjoy.

I Spy....Beach Greenery
Hello everyone.
This is my last post from our beach house vacation over Fall Break. I just wanted to share some pictures of plants that I spied with my little eye.....during a walk around the beach house.
Enjoy!

Fall in the Desert
A few images to share from my visit to the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens a few weeks back.
It may not be the golden yellows, reds, and browns from other parts of the country, but there is definitely beauty here too!
Gotta go now. We're supposed to go to the zoo today, but it's already 2:54 pm. Yikes. Need to get some butts moving!
Hope your weekend is going great!

Texture
Happy Monday everyone.
Last month, when we were at that beach rental, I took a walk up and down the neighboring streets. And took photos of all the different textures I could find. I looked at walls, driveways, patios, fences, doors.....
It's kind of amazing when you shift your focus. I'm not sure that I would ever have noticed all the different materials and textures if I wasn't specifically looking for them.

Now it's your turn. Go for a walk and pick something unique to focus on.
Enjoy.

Photo Walk
When we were in Palm Springs, we drove around and checked out the cool houses. I was in LOVE. I may have even said "we should move here". Not a big surprise, since I say that every time we travel somewhere. But seriously, how can you not love a neighborhood who embraces brightly colored doors? I can't resist.
Oh my, yellow and orange doors! One house even painted their garage door orange also!
And did you see that light fixture in front of the yellow door? I want it. But not for my Casa Grande house. Don't be silly. It would be for my Palm Springs house. Or maybe LA.
This last house had all these cool statues built out of stuff (whatever the artist could find), then painted all these bright, beautiful colors. It was very cool!
So do you ever think about decorating your imaginary house? Oh come on. Not even your beach house? My imaginary beach house (cottage/bungalow) is my favorite house to decorate!
And I'm wanting to paint my front door a turquoise color. Will have to see if I can get the husband to agree!
