Right Now

Right now I'm:

Eating:  Eggs, bacon, and toast. In my kitchen. Gotta stop going out so much when Mark is off work. Need to save those pennies....

Drinking:  Oh, come on. If you know me at all, you know I'm at Starbucks. But I've switched back to the iced white chocolate mocha latte.

Wearing:  Long chevron skirt, red tee, red Toms, black Coach watch.

Starting:  Nothing at this time. Should be. Lots of ideas and projects. But they just did not happen. Have to wait for my next weekend off. But that's OK. There is always another day for a project.

Feeling:  Scared. Signing up for some new debt. Not happy about that, but it's time for a new car (expensive repair on the 210,000 mile Murano). But not part of the plan. But I guess buying a car is rarely a part of any one's plan.

Reading:  Nothing at this time.

Watching:  Finished Parenthood. Loved it. So sad it's over until fall. Finished American Horror Story. Brilliant storytelling. Gory and a bit over the top for many, but I still think the writing is amazing! Next up: Justified.

Weather: 72 and sunny. Next 4 days will be in mid 50's to low 60's and cloudy, with rain on Monday. Gotta enjoy today!

Needing:  Well, money is the first thought that comes to mind. But we'll be fine. Need to feel peace about this decision. And feel like we did  the right thing with buying a car.

Thinking:   I've had a good weekend. Even if I did spend lots of time researching cars and car loans and mileage and debating how much to spend. It's still been a mighty fine few days off.

Dreaming:  About my upcoming vacation. Lots of time to relax and work on lucky stuff (blog/etsy).

Loving:  Having the day off with my hubby. It's our only day off together this week, and I'm wanting to squeeze every minute out of it.

I Spy...Hearts

$4 worth of hearts from the Dollar Tree. And a few minutes to decorate.

That's how I roll these days.

And I can't seem to find a good spot in this house to add a little seasonal bling. So the trees in the front yard are getting lots of love this v-day.

And some glitter ones even made it inside the front door.

And love lives here....

Do you tend to decorate more outside or inside your house? Are you going all out for the Day of Love? It seems like lots of people are in blog land.

hello february

hello february.

Trying some new goals for this month. Nothing too heavy.

And how did january's goals go? Some good, others not so good. But I'm happy for what I was able to accomplish this past month.

It was a good month. Full of highs and lows. Like life is. You just roll with it and try to enjoy the happy moments. And there were plenty of those.

Life is good.

And you? Any goals for the new month? Do share!

Project LIfe

Guess what I finally started?

Project Life 2013.

I completed a few months back in 2011 (really? I could have sworn that was in 2012.). And I really, really liked it. I loved to record all the little things and all the bits of paper, lists, receipts, ticket stubs, etc.

And I knew I wanted to start it up again fresh in 2013. So I ordered the Seafoam kit by Elise Blaha. And waited for Amazon to ship it to me. And got my printer up and working again. And I'm back in business!

Here is my week 1 spread:

OK. Now I realize that my inserts do not fit the pockets. I have several different configurations of 12x12 page protectors, and I thought I had the ones that fit the 3x4 and 4x6 cards/photos. But I don't. And even though I wanted to click a few buttons on Amazon and order more page protectors, I did not. Nope. I'm gonna use what I have and that will be good enough to tell my story. And when those run out, I can order what I need. And yes, I'm patting myself on the back and saying "good job "!

I also started an organization system for saving photos and bits of our daily lives. I have 4 Ziploc bags, with photos printed for weeks 2-4. I added a number for each week, and a quote card. I hope this makes it easy to sit down and work on PL (project life), even if I fall behind.

I hope to have a few more weeks to share soon!

Are you working on Project Life? Do you have a good organization system? Any tips for me? Do share!

Friday Wrap

Hey chicas. Esta viernes.

Sorry. Listening to my daughters working on homework and it brought back memories.

It's time again for the Friday Wrap. Here's what going on in our little corner of the world.

1.  What are those little spots on the sidewalk? Oh, that's what rain looks like? This was the beginning of 2 days of rain. That's a lot for us desert folks. I know, you're feeling real bad for me, aren't you?

2. Relaxing with a latte at sunset.

3. Changing up the look of my blog. Something clean and simple. What do you think? Should I add a photo or 2 by the title? Or keep it super simple?

4. I think we need a dog whisperer. I don't know what is going on around here, but they have shredded 2 throw pillows this week when we left them home alone. And a remote for the TV. And some shoes. And a book....So now when we leave the house we pile up the pillows to protect them from the beasts.

5.  Dinner at Oregano's after baby shopping at Target with boy #1 and his main squeeze. Just window shopping. Man, there is some cute baby girl stuff out there! We had some time to kill while boy #2 was at traffic school for his ticket issued during the car accident....see #6

6.  OK. This moment was actually from 2 weeks ago, but I was not ready to share then. Sometimes I need some time to process events before I'm ready to talk about them. Boy #2 was in a car accident. Rear ended another car. He is fine, as is the other driver. But the new (to boy #2) car is not fine. It is going to need some work done before it sees the open roads again. And the boy is not happy to have his freedom taken away after only 4 weeks driving. Yes. So sad. (And just if you are wondering, that car is a 1997 and cost us $2400. Didn't want you to be thinking we were rich or anything!)

7.  Sunset. The mountains were purple. I have never seen anything like it before! Remind me of all this desert beauty when I'm whining in August about how hot it is and how ugly all the brown dirt is!

That's it for this week.

Thanks for stopping by.
