Project LIfe
Guess what I finally started?
Project Life 2013.
I completed a few months back in 2011 (really? I could have sworn that was in 2012.). And I really, really liked it. I loved to record all the little things and all the bits of paper, lists, receipts, ticket stubs, etc.
And I knew I wanted to start it up again fresh in 2013. So I ordered the Seafoam kit by Elise Blaha. And waited for Amazon to ship it to me. And got my printer up and working again. And I'm back in business!
Here is my week 1 spread:
OK. Now I realize that my inserts do not fit the pockets. I have several different configurations of 12x12 page protectors, and I thought I had the ones that fit the 3x4 and 4x6 cards/photos. But I don't. And even though I wanted to click a few buttons on Amazon and order more page protectors, I did not. Nope. I'm gonna use what I have and that will be good enough to tell my story. And when those run out, I can order what I need. And yes, I'm patting myself on the back and saying "good job "!
I also started an organization system for saving photos and bits of our daily lives. I have 4 Ziploc bags, with photos printed for weeks 2-4. I added a number for each week, and a quote card. I hope this makes it easy to sit down and work on PL (project life), even if I fall behind.
I hope to have a few more weeks to share soon!
Are you working on Project Life? Do you have a good organization system? Any tips for me? Do share!

My Top 5 Blogs I Love to Read
I follow quite a few blogs, and the list changes over time. Thought I would share my top 5.
1. Elise Blaha - enJOY It @ http://eliseblaha.typepad.com/golden/
I recently started to read her blog, but I quickly fell in love. She posts almost daily, so I always wait for that post to hit my reading list. And she always has a variety of topics. I have a tendency to read her blog, and think "I need to try that". Like that desk redo with washi tape. Went and bought the tape. Hope to redo my desk later this week. So many cool projects on this one!
2. Meg Deurkson-Whatever @ http://megduerksen.typepad.com/whatever/
This one I have been reading for years. I fell in love with her large, beautiful photos and her home projects and crafts, and I also love to hear about her family life. She has lots of kids and lots of craziness, much like my family life. And I'mtotally wanting to attend one of her craft weekends. I need to make a ruffle apron. Not at my house, but at hers. Maybe for my birthday? Hint. To my family.
3. The Nester - The Nesting Place @ http://www.thenester.com/
Another one I have been reading for years. Her motto is "It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful". And that's so me! Not perfect. And she is constantly changing things around in her house. Like I do. And she is not afraid to try something new. Like me.
4. Donna Downey = Simply Me @ http://donnadowney.typepad.com/simply_me/
Um. Donna Rocks. Seriously. Ever seen her Inspiration Wednesday videos? I love that she posts a free video every Wednesday. I have been lucky enough to take classes from her the past 2 times she has traveled to Arizona. And I grinned the entire time. She has been a great inspiration for me and my inner artist!
5. Tara Whitney - Just Be Blogged @ http://tarawhitney.com/justbeblogged/
Amazing photographer. I love, love, love her work. Should I ever receive a bundle of money unexpectedly, I will book a session with her. In California. With my family. She brings tears to my eyes sometimes, just from looking at the love she captures in her photos. And from recording those everyday moments that are so easily forgotten over time. She is truly gifted!
This is just a few of my favorites. Who do you follow? Any suggestions for me? Leave me a comment if you have any other blogs to share.
