Friday Wrap
Happy Friday everyone.
It's time to do a photo dump off my phone, and reminisce about the past 7 days.
And I'm linking up with Jeannette at Life Rearranged and Lauren at From My Grey Desk.
1. new art supplies. thank you Groupon. i think i love you.
2. surprise rain shower. we all had to go outside and check it out. why does rain smell soooo good?
3. reading just enough each week to try to stay caught up with the current episode on HBO. such good books but so long.
4. little #4 chillin to school house rock. hard to believe i watched the same videos many years ago.
5. i woke up tuesday not wanting to do a single thing. so i spent the day doing whatever i wanted. no dishes. no laundry. no chores. i did go get a coffee and work on blog posts for 2 hours (playtime for me).
6. nightly routine. 2 dogs in bed with us. white one up near our heads (she prefers to nab a pillow for herself) and black one down by our feet. It's worse than when the littles would crawl into bed with us at night!
7. no photos, but we went to see Jurassic Park in 3D at the Imax. Nothing like 6 story dinosaurs in your face. Super fun!Well that's it for this week. Next week I'll be broadcasting from Salt Lake City.
Wish me luck. And have a fabulous weekend!

Goodbye March
Happy Day everyone!
Every month I end up with some photos I never shared on the blog. Either they didn't mesh well with a post topic, or I had too, too many photos for a post and it didn't add enough to the story to include it.
But it just seems so sad and wrong to never share. What to do?
I know..... a monthly Random Photo post.

Farewell March. It was a fabulous month in our part of the world.
Now I can focus on April. And many more fab memories!

I've been trying to pay attention to details that I would have overlooked in the past. Especially texture. See here also.
If I want to reach out and touch it, get a feel for how smooth or rough or bumpy or scratchy it is. That's what I call texture.

Photo vs. Sketch
I finally did it.
I've been wanting to try my hand at sketching.
Why? Because I love the idea of traveling with a sketchbook. Or biking to the park on a spring morning and bringing the sketchbook.
Don't laugh at me.
So I decided to start my sketching adventure by using some of my photos. This way, no one would be looking over my shoulder, waiting for the "artist" to work her magic. Because, that so is not going to happen.
Here are sketches #1, #2, and #3.
Again....no laughing.
